(WNFL) – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers will open a 4-game, 3-day series at Fox Cities Stadium on Friday against the Quad Cities River Bandits.
The Timber Rattlers lead the Midwest League’s West Division with a 14-6 record while second-place Beloit is 13-7.
Quad Cities is sitting in third at 11-9.
Wisconsin is 5-5 in its last 10 game while Quad Cities is 8-2.
Top prospects on the River Bandits who are a farm club of the Minnesota Twins include catcher Eduardo Tait (Twins No. 3 prospect), southpaw pitcher Dasan Hill (No. 5), right-handed pitcher Charlee Soto (No. 8), right-handed pitcher Adrian Bohorquez (No. 13), catcher/first baseman Enrique Jimenez (No. 25) and outfielder Yasser Mercedes (No. 29).
Overall, the Twins have the ninth-ranked farm system while the Brewers are slotted in at No. 1
Friday’s game against Quad Cities starts at 6:40 p.m with Saturday’s doubleheader starting at 4:10. Sunday’s final game of the series has a first pitch slated for 1:10 p.m.
