(LEARFIELD) – Dustin May held the Pittsburgh Pirates to three hits and two runs in six innings during his first start for the Brewers.
Thursday afternoon’s 5-2 win by the Brewers means Milwaukee won that series three games to one.
Jackson Chourio and Gary Sanchez went deep.
The fifth-inning home run by Sanchez broke a 2-2 tie.
Chourio hit his home run in the first inning.
Murphy talked about Sanchez and Chourio.
Murphy also talked about what Sanchez means to the team.
May got the win and Chad Patrick earned his fifth save.
May came to Milwaukee in a trade from St. Louis earlier this week and he said it was great to get out there.
He said that he did have to deal with some first-inning adrenaline.

Braxton Ashcroft took the loss for Pittsburgh to fall to 11-5.
Lefty Shane Drohan gets the start tonight against the Minnesota Twins.
Drohan is 6-4 with a 3.48 ERA.
The Twins are expected to counter with Zebby Matthews who is 4-8 with a 5.22 ERA.
