Aug 11 (Reuters) – Super Micro Computer on Tuesday forecast fiscal 2027 revenue above Wall Street expectations, betting that strong demand for its AI-optimized servers would fuel another year of growth.
Shares of the company rose 9% in extended trading following the results.
The server maker has been a winner in the race to equip data centers for generative AI, leveraging its close relationships with chipmakers and its reputation for speed-to-market.
Customers are buying more complex and higher-value rack-scale AI systems, such as those featuring Super Micro’s liquid-cooling technology, which are essential for managing the heat from powerful new chips from Nvidia and other semiconductor firms.
Super Micro expects annual revenue between $65 billion and $72 billion, ahead of estimates of $52.50 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
