(WNFL) – WNFL’s top five football teams each had another week of comfortable wins but there is a bit of shuffling in the “others under consideration” category.
- Bay Port – The Pirates moved to 5-0 with their 44-7 win over De Pere. Braydon Maney threw for 167 yards on 8-of-10 passing and Bray Babich completed 13-of-14 passes for 210 yards. Babich also rushed for a team-high 52 yards against the Redbirds with Ethan Orlando catching 5 balls for 107 yards. Up next: Bay Port at Appleton West, Friday, Sept. 25
- Notre Dame – The Tritons continued their romp through the early part of the Fox River Classic Conference conference schedule with the 70-0 win over Green Bay East. Kingston Allen ran for 122 yards and 5 touchdowns on just 7 carries for Notre Dame. Up next: Oshkosh North at Notre Dame, Friday, Sept. 25.
- West De Pere – The Phantoms continued getting comfortable wins in beating Appleton West 42-0. The average margin of victory for West De Pere is 30.6 points. Up next: Pulaski at West De Pere, Friday, Sept. 25.
- Freedom – The Irish posted a convincing 50-7 win over Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian as Axzil Eggert rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns and Owen Henkel passed for 153 yards on 6-0f-13 passing. Aiden Aerts caught 5 passes for 140 yards. Up next: Little Chute at Freedom, Friday, Sept. 25.
- Little Chute – The Mustangs ran the ball exclusively in their 56-0 win over Sheboygan Falls on Friday. Reece Joten rushed for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chance Hietpas and Trevor Verhagen added 69 and 61 yards, respectively. Up next: Little Chute at Freedom, Friday, Sept. 25.
