ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A program that helps put books into the hands of children in Brown County is turning another page.
The 38th annual Give-A-Kid-A-Book campaign launched Wednesday at the newly opened Brown County Pamperin Family Branch Library in Ashwaubenon.
In attendance, honorary literacy ambassador, Bre LaFleur, wife of Green Bay Packers Head Coach, Matt LaFleur.
The annual book collection invites individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, clubs, and organizations to donate new, unwrapped books that will be given as gifts to local children, babies through age 18, of families in need.
There are many ways to donate:
- You can purchase books from the Friends’ Amazon Wish List
- You can purchase books from Lion’s Mouth Bookstore, 211 N. Washington Street in downtown Green Bay
- Donate your Barnes & Noble purchases during the in-store Book Fair on Saturday, November 21, 2025, from 10 am – 4 pm, or online November 21-26. Use code 12946810 and a percentage of sales will benefit Give-A-Kid-A-Book.
- Drop book donations in collection boxes located at Nicolet National Banks in the greater Green Bay area, all Brown County Libraries, and various other locations throughout the community through Dec. 10.
- You can make financial donations that will be used to purchase additional books. Checks payable to “Friends of the Brown County Library: GAKAB,” should be mailed to 515 Pine St., Green Bay, WI 54301 or donate online.
Book distribution takes place in partnership with the Green Bay Salvation Army Holiday Assistance program in December.
