(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers came from behind against the Miami Marlins Sunday to claim a 3-2 win and salvage the last game of the series.
Miami led 2-1 when Blake Perkins scored the tying run in the bottom of the eighth on Andrew Vaughn’s double.
Perkins then knocked in the winning run in the ninth.
Perkins said that he is appreciative of the moment.
Closer Trevor Megill got the win and kept Milwaukee tied with the Chicago Cubs at the top of the National League Central Division standings.
Brandon Woodruff started for the Brewers and went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks but he said that his commancd was a little off.
The Brewers and Cubs start a series at American Family Field tonight with Jacob Misiorowski on the mound.
Perkins said that he’s looking forward to this series.
The game can be heard on 1350 and 97.5 WTAQ beginning with the pre-game show at 6:05 and the first pitch at 6:40 pm.
