(WTAQ-WLUK) — Festival Foods is officially under new ownership.
1939 Group, parent company of Schnuck Markets, on Monday announced the closure of its purchase of Festival Foods and Hometown Grocers.
St. Louis-based 1939 Group adds Festival’s 42 Wisconsin stores and Hometown Grocers’ nine stores in the Badger State. Hometown Grocers’ brands are Dave’s County Market, Denny’s Supervalu, Don’s Quality Market, Lake Mills Market, Lakewood Supervalu, Super Ron’s Food Center, Thompson’s County Market, Thorp Supervalu and Wittenberg Sentry Foods.
Schnuck Markets has 113 stores in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.
1939 Group chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck assumes those roles at Festival Foods, succeeding Mark Skogen.
