MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One of the suspects in an alleged Virginia-to-Wisconsin drug ring pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Corven Jones is charged with conspiracy to delivery amphetamine. No trial date was set. He returns to court April 28 for a scheduling conference, court records show.
Jones was charged in December after a traffic stop when investigators found more than 24 pounds of meth. He was charged along with Karonn Hamilton and Andre Allen. However, the cases for Hamilton and Allen, along with another suspect – Anhaur Garcia-Tarabay – are now being prosecuted in federal court.
The federal trials are scheduled for May 5.
