NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — As part of the recovery process in New London following historic flooding, sandbags are getting picked up.
Crews were out Monday picking up sandbags that were used to keep floodwaters away from New London homes and businesses earlier this month.
If residents of flood affected neighborhoods would like their sandbags picked up, they should do the following:
- Get a wooded pallet from the pile between the Municipal Building and Police Department on Shiocton Street
- Place the pallet on the terrace grass in front of your residence between the sidewalk and street
- Stack the sandbags on the pallet
- As time allows, the city will pickup the pallets and dispose of the sandbags.
If you have any questions, you can call (920) 982-8503.
