TOWN OF NASEWAUPEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were hospitalized after a fiery crash south of Sturgeon Bay.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says it was called to Highway S at Tagge Road just after 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The initial investigation revealed that a pickup truck with a trailer was headed north on S when it crossed over the center line, went off the road and hit a tree before catching fire. Responding crews found the driver had been pulled from the truck before it started on fire.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital.
Highway S was closed for about three and a half hours after the crash.
