(UW ATHLETICS) COLLEGE STATION, TEX – Wisconsin women’s tennis fell to Baylor on Saturday afternoon in Texas after a tough battle, 4-3. The Badgers close out the season with a 17-8 record.
Two Badger pairs earned early breaks in doubles to stay ahead throughout their sets. Ellison Reynoldson and Kaja Jacobson were the first to secure a win, with Maria Sholokhova and Ekaterina Ivanova following shortly after to put Wisconsin in front heading into singles.
Maria Sholokhova and Kaja Jacobson battled hard to earn two singles points for the Badgers. The momentum shifted toward the Bears, who won three singles matches to tie the score. The final match came down to Ekaterina Ivanova and Dong. In a third set, Dong fought back to clinch the match for Baylor.
