(WNFL) – Southpaw Kyle Harrison gave the Milwaukee Brewers a much-needed quality start, going 6 innings to lead the Brewers to a 4-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Saturday.
Harrison allowed 1 run on 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5 to get the win.
Grant Anderson, DL Hall, Trever Megill and Abner Uribe then pitched 3 scoreless innings to secure the win.
The Brewers took a 3-0 lead in the first inning off of Washington Nationals starting pitcher Foster Griffin on a fielding error and a 2-run single by Brandon Lockeridge.
Griffin would go 6 innings and allow 3 runs, all unearned.
The Nationals got a run back in the fourth on a single by CJ Adams.
The Brewers then made it 4-1 in the seventh inning on a run-scoring ground out by Joey Ortiz.
The Brewers and Nationals wrap up the series Sunday afternoon.
Zack Littel who is 0-4 will start for the Nationals. Chad Patrick who is 2-1 is expected to start for Milwaukee.
