GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay received a surprise donation of 18 pallets of cucumbers this week.
The cucumbers came from a crashed semi truck.
The company that was supposed to receive the delivery of cucumbers was unable to use them and decided to donate the load to Paul’s Pantry.
Paul’s Pantry has been distributing them at their grocery center as well as donating several pallets to other area food pantries.
Assistant Executive Director Bob Hornacek said Paul’s Pantry is overjoyed by the generosity.
It’s the pantry’s goal to move the vegetables as quickly as possible for everyone to enjoy.
