(WN FL) – Former Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguer Mauricio Dubon singled home 2 Atlanta runners in the sixth inning and Mike Yastrzemski added a solo home run in the seventh inning to lead the Braves to a 3-2 win over the Brewers Friday night at Truist Park in Atlanta.
Dubon’s hit came off of Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski while Yastrzemski’s home run was hit off of Abner Uribe.
Misorowski allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7. He fell to 8-3 with the loss.
Martin Perez got the win for Atlanta. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits and 2 walks over 6 innings while striking out 5.
The Brewers had taken a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a Brice Turang single that scored Blake Perkins.
They added a run in the ninth off of Rafael Iglesias on a single by Turang that scored Christian Yelich. Jackson Chourio also tried to score on the play and he called out.
Andrew Vaughn and Garrett Mitchell both had 2 hits for the Brewers. Vaughn raising his average to .352 and Mitchell boosting his to .258.
The 2 teams will play again today in Atlanta.
Kyle Harrison who is 8-1 with a 2.47 ERA will start for Milwaukee.
Chris Sale is Atlanta’s starting pitcher. He is 8-5 with a 2.30 ERA.
