(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – Coming off the best season in program history where the program appeared in the 2025 Horizon League Championship match, the Green Bay women’s soccer program and head coach Matt Kagan announced the 2026 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. Green Bay has 20 games on the docket, including one exhibition contest and 19 regular season games – nine at home and ten on the road.
The Phoenix will take on South Dakota State in Blaine, Minnesota, on August 6 in GB’s only exhibition match of the season. To start the season, the Phoenix will then head to North Dakota State on August 13 to kick off their eight game non-conference slate.
The first home game of the year at Festival Foods Field at Aldo Santaga Stadium will be just a week later, on Thursday, August 20 against South Dakota. The non-conference schedule also includes showdowns against North Dakota, Omaha, St. Thomas, Western Illinois, Indiana State, and wraps up with a home game against Chicago State on September 10.
Horizon League action kicks off on September 19 when the Phoenix travel to DeKalb, Illinois to face new Horizon League member, Northern Illinois. Green Bay’s first Horizon League home game will come a few days later on September 24, when they will host Detroit Mercy. The HL schedule will stretch to Halloween, concluding when GB travels down the state to square off against the Milwaukee Panthers at Engelmann Stadium on October 31.
If the Phoenix secure a top six seed in the Horizon League regular season, they will qualify for the Horizon League Championships, with the first round starting on November 7 and the Championship Game taking place on Nov. 14.
