The Pittsburgh Pirates placed relief pitcher Evan Sisk on the 15-day injured list Saturday with left elbow inflammation.
The 29-year-old left-hander is 1-0 with a 2.23 ERA in 32 appearances out of the bullpen this season. He last pitched on Monday and his IL designation is retroactive to Wednesday.
Acquired at the 2025 trade deadline from Kansas City, Sisk is 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA in 51 career games (no starts) with the Royals (2025) and Pirates.
Pittsburgh recalled right-hander Hunter Stratton from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding transaction. He has not appeared in a game for the Pirates since being re-acquired in the June 18 trade that sent catcher Joey Bart to the Atlanta Braves.
Stratton, 29, is 3-2 with a 3.75 ERA and two saves in 60 career appearances (no starts) with the Pirates (2023-25) and Braves (2025-26). He made one appearance for Atlanta this season, allowing one hit in one scoreless inning in a 9-1 win at Colorado on May 2.
