APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Michael Verkuylen, who had been facing possession of child pornography charges, has died and the case has been dismissed.
Verkuylen, 60, was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography after investigators found about 785 images and 1,450 videos on his phone.
After he missed a court appearance July 16, a warrant for his arrest was issued.
However, court documents show Verkuylen has died.
No other details about his passing are included in the state’s motion to dismiss.
