(ST NOBERT COMMUNICATIONS) JARROW, England – St. Norbert College marched to a 7-1 win against Jarrow Football Club in the team’s second game in the United Kingdom.
It was a special occasion, as Jarrow was fielding their first match as a club after announcing a women’s side in May.
The Green Knights opened the scoring in the opening 10 minutes with junior Aleah Reesman finding the net on a breakaway. Cynthia Coronado scored just before halftime as the Green Knights began to roll.
Colleen Callaghan made it 3-0 shortly after resuming play, while Coronado added another and Gracie Adrian scoring twice in the half. Both sophomores have three goals through two games.
Newcomer MiKenzie Pennings added the seventh goal with one of the last kicks of the game.
St. Norbert will play its final game of the tour tomorrow evening against Chester-le-Street Football Club in County Durham.
