(LEARFIELD) – Wisconsin Badgers offensive line coach Eric Mateos is proving himself to be quite the character in front of a microphone.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mateos compared the offensive line to silverback gorillas’ and talked leadership.
He said that he is treating the offensive line like a flower to prune.
How is the offensive line reacting to his mental warfare?
Mateos talked about Lucas Simmons moving from left tackle to right tackle.
Mateos said that he is trying to find positive out of the offensive line injuries.
He said that some of the second tamers are pushing the starters.
Mateos said that all the offensive line coaches are trying to build depth now.
He said that success will come. The team just needs to keep grinding.
Mateos comes to Wisconsin after spending the last 2 seasons coaching the offensive line at Arkansas.
