(UW ATHLETICS) – Women’s soccer student-athletes Hailey Baumann and Drew Stover have earned Big Ten weekly honors following notable performances during Wisconsin’s 1-1-1 start to the 2026 season.
Baumann was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after helping anchor the Badgers’ backline across two matches this past week. The junior played all 180 minutes against No. 9 BYU and Marquette, helping Wisconsin secure a 1-0 shutout victory over the Cougars before holding Marquette to one goal in Sunday’s 1-1 draw. Baumann also scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute against BYU, marking her first goal of the season. She has started all three matches this season and has played 270 minutes.
Stover was named Big Ten Co-Goalkeeper of the Week after starting both of Wisconsin’s matches during the week. The fifth year recorded a shutout against No. 9 BYU, making four saves in the 1-0 victory, before adding two saves against Marquette in Sunday’s 1-1 draw. Stover has started all three matches this season, totaling 270 minutes, six saves and a .670 goals-against average.
The duo will look to carry its momentum into Senior Day as the Badgers host UIC on Sunday, Aug. 30, at the McClimon Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., with the match streaming on B1G+.
