(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers closed out their road trip by falling to the Reds 12-8 in Cincinnati.
Antonio Senzatela suffered the loss after allowing three runs on two hits and two walks.
Kyle Harrison started for Milwaukee but lasted only 3 3/2 innings, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 9 hits and 4 walks.
JoJo Romero gave up 3 runs (1 earned) in the eighth inning.
Offensively, Jake Bauers hit his 24th home run of the season, Brice Turang had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs and Garrett Mitchell had a pair of hits.
Milwaukee still leads the NL Central and will host the Chicago Cubs for a three-game series that starts today at American Family Field.
Robert Gasser will start for the Brewers Monday afternoon. Gasser is 4-5 with a 4.57 ERA.
The Cubs will counter with Matthew Boyd who is 8-3 with a 4.05 ERA.
The Brewers are 88-56 while the Cubs are 81-63.
In the race for the National League’s best record, the Brewers have a 2 1/2 game lead over the LA Dodgers who are 86-57. The Atlanta Braves are 85-58.
