(UW ATHLETICS) MADISON – The No. 13 Wisconsin men’s soccer team (5-1-2, 0-1-2 B1G) earned a 1-1 tie against No. 2 Indiana (7-0-2, 2-0-1 B1G) in front of over 1,000 fans at McClimon Soccer Complex. Isaac Brown-Samper’s first career goal evened the score in the 68th minute.
How it Happened:
Tuesday’s match was intense from the start, with both teams trading offensive opportunities. Judewellin Michel made his first save of the night in the 12th minute to keep the Hoosiers from scoring early.
Junior Matthew Zachemski put the first shot on target for Wisconsin in the 17th minute, but was not able to find the back of the net. The score remained knotted at zero heading into half.
Indiana got on the board first in the 57th minute with a goal from Nolan Kinsella. Just over 10 minutes later, Wisconsin responded by finding success off a corner kick. Brown-Samper settled the loose ball and sent it into the right corner of the net.
Michel made a clutch save as the clock ran out to preserve the tie.
