APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Octoberfest weekend in Appleton is more than a festival.
For more than 40 years, it’s brought the community together and helps drive economic growth in the area.
The fun begins at 9 a.m., Saturday, September 26, downtown along College Avenue.
Festivities begin with the ceremonial Spaten beer toast at the Houdini Plaza stage, which is a tribute to the annual ritual Spaten keg beer tapping at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.
Activities include live music, beer, food vendors and a family fun area.
