APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two months after a tornado devasted the Fox Valley, the work continues to get families back on their feet.
An effort to stock local pantry shelves is starting Monday at The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton. The Trim Hunger Food Drive runs Monday through Friday, Oct. 2.
Trim Hunger will deliver the items to Vinnie’s Pantry at St. Vincent De Paul Neenah/Menasha.
Stylist Josif Wittnik is the founder of the non-profit, and says the school is looking for the following non-perishable items:
- Canned goods
- Pasta & rice
- Peanut butter
- Cereal
- Soups & stews
- Baby food
Food can be dropped off at the academy located at 3355 West College Avenue in Appleton during normal business hours.
- Mon – Thurs | 9 am – 9 pm
- Friday | 9 am – 5 pm
- Saturday | 9 am – 4 pm
- Sunday | CLOSED
