(WNFL) – There is a shuffling of the deck when it comes to this week’s WNFL Top Five and then some.
- West De Pere – It was another wild game between the Phantoms and Pirates with West De Pere notching the 33-27 win. Andrew Greisen completed 18-of-27 passes for 235 yards, Kainin Strong rushed for 117 yards and Parker Diedrich caught 4 passes for 117 yards. Up next: At Green Bay Southwest, Friday, Oct. 9
- Notre Dame – The Tritons just kept pulling away from the Menasha Bluejays in the fight for first in the Fox River Classic Conference-South, finishing with a 66-18 win. Kingston Allen rushed for 281 yards and 6 touchdowns. Jackson Bouthilet completed 6-of-8 passes for 156 yards . Up next: Host Green Bay West, Friday, Oct. 9.
- Freedom – The Irish led 42-6 after 3 quarters in the 42-20 win over Wrightstown. Owen Henkel completed 19-of-25 passes for 258 yards, Axzil Eggert rushed for 154 yards and Charlie Micke caught 9 passes for 135 yards. Up next: Host Luxemburg-Casco, Friday, Oct. 9.
- Bay Port – The Pirates passed for 307 yards and rushed for 178 in the loss to West De Pere. Bray Babich passed for 211 yards, Jackson Smith rushed for 96 yards and caught 11 passes for 165yards. Up next: At Green Bay Preble, Friday, October 9.
- Bonduel – The Bears built a 35-13 lead through 3 quarters in the 42-21 win over the Oconto Blue Devils.. Up next: Host Sturgeon Bay, Thursday, Oct 8.
How did the best of the rest fare on Friday? De Pere beat Ashwaubenon 17-3, Brillion beat Kiel 36-21, Kaukauna beat Hortonville 35-30, Little Chute beat Denmark 49-0, Luxemburg-Casco beat Sheboygan Falls 67-0, Sevastopol beat Algoma 28-12, Pulaski beat Green Bay Southwest 55-7, .
The remaining unbeatens in the WNFL listening area are Bonduel, Freedom, Notre Dame and West De Pere.
One-loss teams include Bay Port, Brillion, Little Chute, and Sevastopol.
