Stacy Menke after unanimous appointment to be City Clerk, Oct. 6, 2026. PC: Fox 11 Online
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Stacy Menke is now the full-time clerk for Green Bay.
“There was a big search that was done, a rigorous interview process, and she was far and away the unanimous choice by our interview panel,” said Mayor Eric Genrich.
She’s been doing the job in the interim since August. During that time, she presided over the August primary election.
Her appointment was secured with a unanimous vote by the council on Tuesday night.
“I think it was a real trial by fire, right? To actually have to administer an election as our interim clerk, she and her team succeeded tremendously. So, there’s no doubt in my mind that she’s the right person for the job,” said Genrich.
Menke follows Celestine Jeffreys who resigned in August.
It came after the Wisconsin Elections Commission investigated the city for multiple instances of sending duplicate absentee ballots to voters.
In September, the Wisconsin Elections Commission found probable cause that Jeffreys broke state law.
