MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Manitowoc County man and a woman are in custody connected to a murder-for-hire investigation.
In September, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of a possible threat of solicitation to commit homicide.
Investigators say they found credible concerns and obtained probable cause to arrest two Newton residents.
On Tuesday, investigators conducted a traffic stop and arrested 37-year-old Larry Wallen and 49-year-old Christina Seguin.
As a result, the targeted victim was unharmed, the sheriff’s office says.
On Wednesday, bail was set at $150,000 cash for Wallen and $10,000 cash for Seguin.
