APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The City of Appleton hosted a meeting Thursday night to present the proposed “Downtown Streetscape Design Guide.”
The guide includes details on improving street throughout the downtown area, such as decorative lighting, benches and special paving.
Appleton Traffic Engineer Eric Lom tells FOX 11…
“Highlighted in blue are all the streets that are due in the central business district for reconstruction over the next five or so years. So it kind of gives you a sense of we have a lot of opportunities coming to really improve the downtown, and we want to make sure we get it right.”
The final design of each project will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
