APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Grant money is still available to Appleton business owners to make exterior improvements.
More than $65,000 remains available for the citywide Appleton Redevelopment Authority (ARA) Business Enhancement Program.
In August through October of 2020, the ARA allocated $130,000 to the Business Enhancement Grant Program to help commercial property owners and tenants with façade and exterior improvements within the city of Appleton.
To date, nearly $65,000 of the grant funds made property improvements to 13 buildings in the city, leveraging nearly $80,000 in owner investment.
The maximum grant award per project from the ARA is $7,000 for property improvements. The ARA will consider applications for grants up to fifty percent (50%) of the total eligible project costs on a first come, first served basis.
There is no application deadline.
