APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton’s annual chalk walk returned in full force this year. Artists took part in two tiers of competition: “in it to win it” or “just for fun.” Chalk artists who registered for ‘in it to win it” have a chance to win $500.
“Chalk is something we’re all so used to, a medium of art we’ve all used most likely at some point in our life, in our childhood, and it’s just fun to see the local artists come out and share their talents,” Appleton Downtown Marketing Director Lynn Hardy said.
The art will stay throughout the weekend, weather permitting.
