OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — A UW-Oshkosh student is speaking with investigators in the disappearance of 22-year-old Gabby Petito, the Florida woman who went missing while traveling with her fiance. Miranda Baker posted a video on TikTok saying that she and her boyfriend gave Petito’s fiance, Brian Laundrie, a ride on August 29th at Grand Teton National Park, four days after Petito’s mother last spoke to her.
“Before he came in the car, he offered to pay us like $200 to give him a ride like 10 miles,” said Baker in her TikTok video. “That was kind of weird. He then told us he’s been camping for multiple days without his fiancé. He did say he had a fiancé and that she was working on their social media page back at their van.”
The pair only drove Laundrie a short while.
“Then in conversation I’m like, yeah, we’re going to Jackson. He freaked out, like ‘nope I need to get out right now’ like, ‘pull over’.”

Investigators have apparently spoken to Baker. Baker says in the video she saw a picture of Laundrie on TikTok, and that is when she decided to get into contact with authorities and post her video.
Police are searching for Laundrie, who has gone missing after arriving back in Florida, where he and Petito had set off from. A body, believed to be that of Petito, has been found in Wyoming.
