TOWN OF EVERGREEN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A snowmobiler died after crashing in Langlade County over the weekend.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. Saturday on the trail system north of State Highway 64 in the town of Evergreen.
Dispatch received a call of a person involved in a snowmobile crash and being taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
Emergency responders were able to intercept the vehicle as CPR was being administered.
The victim, 23-year-old Conrad Schmidt of West Bend, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators determined Schmidt had lost control of the snowmobile on a curve and struck a tree and was ejected from the machine.
The crash remains under investigation.
