APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A construction company’s trophy-winning art piece that was featured in the downtown Appleton Christmas parade has a new home.
MCC, Inc. donated its aluminum sculpture depicting a veteran kneeling and honoring a fallen comrade to the Appleton American Legion Monday night.
MCC, Inc. employees Bill Inman and Kyle Lewis crafted the aluminum piece using a handheld plasma torch and a 4″ grinder.
The aluminum piece won the Bernie Pearlman Memorial Trophy, the best parade entry “In the Eyes of a Child.” Last year’s parade theme was “Superhero Christmas.”
MCC, Inc. employs many military service members and veterans.
The piece will be on display in a prominent location at the Appleton American Legion Post 38 for all to see and enjoy.
