STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Crews are working on plans to safely enter the remains of Butch’s Bar in Sturgeon Bay to search for a potential second victim.
The city’s police department also says the body of one victim was recovered and taken to Madison for identification.
On Wednesday, crews removed small sections of the south wall in their investigation.
A second person remains unaccounted for following the Tuesday morning fire.
Police say nine people who lived above the bar were left without a home. A fundraiser for those tenants has been set up through the United Way of Door County.
Police have also put a temporary flight restriction around the building to prevent drone operators from taking aerial images.
