GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and local law enforcement launches Operation Dry Water this Fourth of July weekend.
While it is always illegal to operate a boat while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, law enforcement will be on high alert this holiday weekend seeking out drunken boaters and passengers they see on Wisconsin waterways.
The annual campaign runs nationally from July 2-4. Its purpose is to educate boaters about the dangers of boating while under the influence.
