GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More details are being released about a Grand Chute duplex fire that killed a 55-year-old man and dog last month.
The man has been identified as Torrence (Torre) Morgan, who lived in the S. Olson Avenue home with his family.
The family’s German Shepherd was found and removed by firefighters — who then attempted to save the dog on scene — but the dog did not survive.
Officials say the fire started in the kitchen and was discovered by Morgan’s wife when she came home from work. The specific cause of the fire is still being investigated.
