GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Salvation Army’s Christmas Campaign is in the final stretch; don’t miss your chance to contribute to any of the 38 red kettles around the area.
The campaign in Green Bay officially launched on November 10 with a goal of $1,335,000. As of Monday, 57% of funds still need to be raised before the campaign is over in two weeks. While there’s still a long way to go, Nicole Hanley with the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay says there is hope for the goal to be realized.
“Usually a bulk of the donations do come in towards the end of the campaign,” said Hanley “Just because everybody kind of gets into Christmas mode these last few weeks heading into Christmas.”
Additionally, Tuesday, December 13 is the biggest matching day of this campaign; where the Green Bay Packers will double donations.
The Salvation Army is still looking for bell ringers; if you’re interested in volunteering visit registertoring.com.
