APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton police say there are no safety concerns after a report of a threat came from Xavier High School.
Around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday students were conducting a routine fire drill.
That’s when dispatch received a 911 call, indicating there was an active threat in the school.
Several police officers responded and began clearing the school within minutes. During this time, some students remained in the building and sheltered in place, while others vacated common areas while officers secured the school.
No threat was located and officers say they will continue to work with Xavier administrators to find out what happened.
