LAMARTINE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man who was on active parole for armed robbery and other violent and drug crimes was arrested following a Fond du Lac County chase.
The pursuit began just before 2:30 a.m. Friday on County Highway TC at Dehring Road in the town of Lamartine when a deputy tried to stop a vehicle for several traffic violations.
The vehicle slowed slightly but did not stop and continued west on County Highway TC at various speeds.
The pursuing deputy noticed the driver began throwing items out of the vehicle during the chase.
The suspect vehicle then stopped on County Highway TC, west of State Highway 26. A high-risk vehicle contact was made and the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies were able to locate the suspected contraband thrown out the window by the driver.
No vehicles were damaged and no one was hurt during the pursuit.
The driver, a 45-year-old Glendale man, was arrested on a number of charges including knowingly fleeing an officer, driving under the influence and possession of cocaine and MDMA (ecstasy).
