(SOURCE METRO) COLORADO – The Rockies used a huge eighth inning to beat the Brewers 9-6 and sweep their series from Denver.
Harold Castro singled-home two runs while Charlie Blackmon drove in another pair as part of a five-run bottom of the eighth.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell says the Rockies pounded the ball late.
Brad Hand was credited with the win after throwing a scoreless inning of relief. Colorado has won four straight games and is 12-and-20.
The Rockies are still last in the NL West.
Christian Yelich, Tyrone Taylor and Rowdy Tellez each slugged homers for Milwaukee, which fell to 18-and-13.
Counsell says the team had a tough time on the road against Colorado.
The Brewers have lost four straight and are second in the NL Central
