SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was rescued from an apartment building following an appliance fire in Sheboygan.
Sheboygan County Emergency crews were called to the 1200 block of South 15th Street at around 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
The first fire department unit arrived on the scene within 2 minutes and found heavy smoke coming from the upper half of the building.
Shortly after, one person was rescued from the building.
The blaze was put out within 15 minutes.
The person rescued from the building was taken by Sheboygan Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The damages are estimated to be around $14,000.
All fire crews were cleared from the scene at 8:50 p.m.
