GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Next week’s trial for two brothers charged in a Green Bay east-side murder has been postponed six months.
Omar Hernandez, 24, and Jose Hernandez, 23, are charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the Feb. 11 murder of Edgar Rodriguez-Hernandez on Clayton Place.
Both prosecutors and the defense teams asked for the delay due to evidence continuing to be collected, shared, and reviewed.
The cases return to court for a status conference Aug. 14, with trial planned for Nov. 6. A joint trial is planned.
According to the criminal complaints, the shooting was the continuation of a fight which happened at a bar a few hours earlier.
