GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A free eco-gardening workshop teaches attendees all things sustainable agriculture on August 7.
The lesson takes place at the Brown County Central Library from 5:45 p.m. through 7:45 p.m.
Learn how to assist native plants and pollinators as they help create organic soil, gardening, and compost.
Valerie Dantoin, a Sustainable Food and Organic Agriculture Systems instructor at NWTC, leads attendees through the educational experience.
“Not just a green thumb but, again, using tools and really digging into the biology behind what makes it work,” said Dantoin.
She also can be found sharing her expertise with students in the campus’s Bounty Garden, a two-and-a-half-acre urban farm on the grounds of the Green Bay Botanical Garden.
