STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The man who set fire to a Door County supper club was convicted Monday but then found not guilty by reason of mental disease.
Jonathan Polich, 34, was committed to a secure mental health facility.
Polich pleaded no contest to arson for the Oct. 23 fire at Mr. G’s Supper Club in Sturgeon Bay, court records show.
The parties then agreed Polich suffers from a mental disease or defect, with Judge Todd Ehlers then committing him to the state Dept. of Health Services for treatment.
