It’s been another offensive vanishing act in Los Angeles for the Milwaukee Brewers. The red hot Dodgers made it 10 wins in a row by beating Milwaukee 7-1 Wednesday night. The Brewers managed only three hits against Clayton Kershaw and the L.A. bullpen and the only run came on a Mark Canha solo shot in the second inning. Meanwhile, the Dodgers got an early solo homer from Miguel Rojas against Wade Miley and a late Chris Taylor shot. In between, the top three in the order, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Will Smith racked up 8 hits themselves. Miley lasted five innings, giving up 7 hits and three earned runs. Twice, William Contreras was called for catcher interference, both times with J.D. Martinez at the plate and Joey Wiemer dropped a fly ball at the center field wall that allowed another run to score. The Brewers have scored three runs on just five hits in the first two games of the series. L.A. is now 73-46 and running away with the NL West while the Brewers have dropped to 65-56, their lead in the NL Central is down to 2 and a half games over the Cubs and Reds who both won Wednesday night. Cincinnati beat Cleveland 7-2 while the Cubs walked off the White Sox on a Christopher Morel 3 run blast in the bottom of the ninth at Wrigley. Corbin Burnes will face Lance Lynn in the series finale at Dodger Stadium Thursday night. Pre-game coverage begins at 8:35 PM with a 9:10 PM first pitch on WTAQ.
