OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Budget reductions have UW Oshkosh again planning to hire an outside firm for grounds and custodial services.
Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says the university has been unable to recruit and retain needed staff.
“We have experienced a 53% turnover rate in new hires. New applicants have dropped 75%,” said Leavitt.
A similar proposal was rejected last year after opposition from students and staff.
