TOWN OF UTICA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials say the Winnebago County woman who reported her husband missing last week died unexpectedly, and the search for her husband has yielded no results.
65-year-old Wayne A. Siems was last seen by his wife on the morning of Sept. 15 when he reportedly left his home with no phone, wallet, vehicle, clothing items or medications.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that an extensive search of the rural areas surrounding Siems’s residence turned up no evidence of his whereabouts.
According to a missing endangered person alert, Siems was upset about legal issues and recently purchased a handgun and three boxes of ammunition. Deputies found the gun’s case and box in a field north of his home.
The Sheriff’s Office said that if Siems is still alive, he does not know that his wife is now deceased.
He is also without critical medications for his heart conditions and other health issues.
Anyone who has had contact with Siems or has information about his location is asked to notify the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (920) 236-7367.
