OMRO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was killed and another injured after a two-vehicle crash in the town of Omro Friday.
At 2:07 p.m., first responders were called to 9th Street Road after receiving reports of a crash.
One of the vehicle’s drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The name of the driver who died has not been released. Officials say the crash is still under investigation.
9th Street Road will be closed between State Highway 116 and County Highway F for cleanup and investigation until approximately 6 p.m.
This marks the third fatal crash in or around Omro in an eight-day span.
One man died and two other drivers were injured after a three-vehicle crash near Sand Pit Road Oct. 26.
Additionally, a crash Wednesday morning between Omro and Oshkosh left one man dead and another with injuries.
