(WTAQ-WLUK) — Summer may be coming to a close, but construction season in Wisconsin is still in full swing.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is hosting public informational meetings for two upcoming road construction projects. Both meetings will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams.
Project engineers will discuss the projects’ scopes, schedules and traffic impacts and share maps, detour displays and temporary signing information for businesses impacted.
WIS 91 work in Winnebago County
This meeting is in regards to a construction project taking place in Winnebago County on WIS 91 between WIS 44 and the west Winnebago County line.
- Roadway resurfacing of WIS 91 from WIS 44 to the west Winnebago County line within the towns of Algoma, Nekimi, Utica, Omro, Rushford, and Nepeuskun.
- Construction of WIS 91 bridge over Waukau Creek
- Replacement of WIS 91 culverts between James Road and Clairville Road
Starting Sept. 3, WIS 91 will be closed and detoured for structure work. The detour will utilize County M and WIS 44.
The meeting will be held Aug. 29 at 3 p.m.

WIS 54 and WIS 47 work in Outagamie County
This meeting is in regards to a three-part construction project taking place in Outagamie County in the Shiocton/Black Creek area.
- WIS 54 Resurfacing: 8.8 miles of WIS 54 between the town of Liberty and village of Shiocton.
- WIS 47 Urban Resurfacing:0.5 miles on WIS 47 from County B to Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek.
- WIS 47 Rural Resurfacing: 8.1 miles of WIS 47 from Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek to the north Outagamie County line in the town of Cicero.
Work includes pipe replacement and resurfacing of WIS 54 with a full closure to through traffic beginning Sept. 9 for culvert pipe replacements. Storm sewer repairs from County B to WIS 54 in Black Creek will require a full closure and detour. Flagging operations will take place on WIS 47 for resurfacing project limits.
The meeting will be held Aug. 28 at 5 p.m.
