(LEARFIELD) – Milwaukee Bucks legend Junior Bridgeman has become a significant minority owner of the team.
The announcement was made Thursday morning at the team’s training center by Bridgeman and Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam.
Bridgeman was sked if he considered buying the Bucks from Herb Kohl in 2014.
One thing Bridgeman made clear is that he never wants to see the Bucks leave Milwaukee.
Added Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslem, he couldn’t have found a better choice to add to the ownership team.
Bridgeman, whose No. 2 jersey was retired by the Bucks in 1988 and hangs in the rafters of Fiserv Forum, was one of the NBA’s top players off the bench in his 10-season tenure with the team from 1975-84 and 1986-87.
In that time, Bridgeman played in 711 games with Milwaukee and averaged double figures in scoring in eight straight seasons.
